How we started
N & A Mfg. is located at 203 Inman in Mallard, Iowa. The company was founded in 1978 by Francis Neary and Virgil Auten. Francis passed away in December of 1992. There have been many changes since 1978, in the facilities, size of machines, components, ect. But one thing remains the same, all units are built and tested on site before they go to the customer. And they are built with quality components by conscious employees and sold by trained personel.

N & A is a family owned corporation with a son (Troy ) and daughter (Tammy) working in the shop, building the equipment and also doing the service work. Troy also has a sales territory and Tammy handles the shipping and computer data base. Jolene, the mother, has been busy for the last 20 years keeping the office work in order. Our Grandchildren also help out from time to time.

The company has distributors who sell in a territory, and all of them have been with the company for many years. They include:

Bob Gilman: NorthEast Iowa and part of Wisconsin
Bob Toliver: NorthWest Iowa and part of South Dakota
Troy Auten: Central/NorthWest Iowa
Garth and Dennis Van Foson: SouthEast/SouthWest Iowa and part of Missouri
Pete Bolln: Nebraska
Gary Stroup: SouthEast Minnesota
Monte DeJong: California

They are all skilled in the operation of the equipment and can take care of almost anything that arrises.

Many of us who work at N & A used to be with a company known as Pamline. They went out of business in 1981, but we have the parts and experience to service their sprayers.

The main item that we manufacture is Spraymatic power washers. They are built with either electric or gas engines, electric being the choice of most our customers. Hot and Cold models. Ranging from 1500psi ot 5000psi. Hot models are either oil fired, L.P or Natural Gas. Check out the rest of our website for all our models available. N & A also manufactures a Vibramatic Power Scraper which is used mainly to remove hard packed manure from hog building floors. Other uses are tile removal, carpet removal, clean up concrete farms, etc.
